Crude oil ending stocks stocked in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) have depleted to lows not seen since the 1980s as the U.S. government tries to combat reduced supplies from Russia. In the first week of 2024, some 354.99 million barrels of oil were held in the SPR.
